losing virginity

Let me see......went to see the American cult female band ESG for 2 days straight. I've always been a fan of sounds that have come out of New York over the years and ESG, along with Liquid Liquid set the tone for the defunkt 99 Records. ESG/LL/99 have a cult following in a big way with name dropping so heavy that you won't be able to rise again. Anyway, the shows were, really nice to see old mates Buffalo Daughter at it as usual. Also saw faces expected and unexpected in the audience, a small reunion of sorts.
Had my birthday on 20th July, which I had not announced to the public except to those that happened to of have asked. I am now 38 years old, I probably don't look it, I don't act it, and I don't feel it. However, if you would like to remind me of it, please send gifts and donations to me (atta) minoru-yokoo.com.
Anyway, brithday was spent with the fine whackos from the art group Namaiki, thank you. Then a week or two of usual Minoru-like behaviour, I went out to the Fuji Rock Festival. They actually don't do it near Mt. Fuji anymore, but what the heck.
I had not been since, 1999? Back then, it was straight after my friend and musician Shinji Satoh had died and was in a right state. In 99, I went to work, handling the audio for the internet broadcast. I remember I was very edgy, hurt, and overall, not interested. This time, I went as semi civillian, ie, I didn't pay to get in, since there were some people I know playing, including the Japanese band the Fishmans, which featured the aforementioned Satoh on vox. The band have started to play again on a very loose basis, featuring guest singers, known and unknown.
Actually, this is going to be a very long, emotional post, so I am going to do it later. Life moves on.
