there are a couple things i'm pretty happy about. nothing directly related to myself, but it's great to see friends and projects that i've been associated with come to fruition.
first up, santogold. check out her song "l.e.s artistes"
i've known this song for a year now and have been waiting to see what happens to her debut as her own. now that's it's finally happening, it's been worth the wait.
next, cat power.

i've been very silent here, i kind of got fed up of thinking about this and that. maybe it's just time to start doing things rather than thinking and planning. it ain't worth a yen without execution.
oh, i got a bass. $300 on auction. it's a 1980 tokai precision bass copy. the neck's kaput, bloody ameteur auctions and their useless/intentionally decieving descriptions, really.
but this specimen has potential, i've been playing 8th note 150bpm riffs like a ramone ramone and keith richards/exilt on main st inspired (actually an interview i read about keith richard's bass playing....... he actually plays bass on a lot of rolling stones recordings) esg on caffeine bass lines for the past few days, so it probably deserves a new neck.
i think i happen to have one in new york......
